Exit poll, no postal votes which is quite a large chunk and has to be reported well before the polls close.

336 would be enough for an overall majority

What is interesting is that the Tories had complete wipeout in Wales and Scotland in 1997 and 2001.

The general feeling was they were hated there, and that will forever be the case. However, it's looking like Wales and Scotland might rescue the Tories tonight, which is a dramatic turnaround

Exit polls are wrong.

I hope.

The exit polls is a publicity stunt imo. We can question that it's not possible but the way our news has been so fake and false recently it wouldn't suprise me. I think a conservative majority is a sure bet.

Bad night for the birds by the looks of it - bloodied noses for both May and Sturgeon

May is done. What a colossal mistake she had.

I have been trying to research this on the net and it may be the most stupid question ever released on this forum but I am still asking in case not.

Who decides which order the polls from each constituency come in... Is it the same order for each election? If not why not and who's decides this?
Maybe I'm too suspicious but lots of labour votes already. Is this on purpose to string the whole evening out? Or is it case of once all votes counted inform us and comes in any order.

Another question;
How do you describe the reason for the election to someone with minimal interest in politics? (In a nutshell)

I was thinking something along the lines of "May called the election looking for a big win so the Torys could push any controversial bills/Brexit related deals etc through parliament with their majority so not needing any other party to assist them. Exit polls suggest it backfired spectacularly."
