What's the best material to read or watch?

I'm a complete newbie to all this and was wondering what's the best material to read or watch for a complete startup newbie?

I know the basics but just want to learn how to read the markets etc so I can gauge the times to dip in and out of the markets

Yeah I've seen that - but wondered if there was anything specific for a complete beginner to start with?

Do what I did read ever post on every thread on this forum & copy & paste anything that superficially looks useful info into a Google Docs file for further investigation. It's arduous a task but I found it worthwhile even if the place is awash with conflicting advice ...........and possibly some false trails so keep an open mind on all you read.
