Hi there guys.
Am new to Bet Angel and I really need some instructions and advice on how to set up the software so I can trade in play on the Horses like I have been doing manualy on the normal Betfair interface.

My trading method is very simple and basic and although most people say you should never ever trade in play, i've been making steady profits doing so for quite a while now.

All I do is place a back bet before the race begins, and during the race when the odds on my selected horse drop right down I place my lay bet and then spread the profit evenly across all selections.
Too many times for my liking though I miss the chance to green up because it takes so long to do the maths and place the bet, hence me now trying Bet Angel.

There is so many different options and buttons on there though its melting my brain
Can someone please give me instructions on settings and exactly what tools I need to activate and how to activate them.
I know how to place the initial back bet,but once the race goes in play, what is the quickest and most efficiant way to lay the bet off and equilize the profit as soon as those odds drop.
Thats all I want from Bet Angel, nothing else, please help.
Also when I was doing this manualy, as soon as the race begun i would have my lay bet standing by ready to place as soon as the odds dropped, I would however make sure that the odds requested in that lay bet were the same as the back bet that I placed.
This was to make sure that my entire bet was matched and not just some of it.
For example, if my back odds were 8.0 and in play the lay odds dropped to about 3.5, I know the computer would match me for as much as possible at 3.5, and match the rest at odds back up to 8.0.
I could not afford to have the bet come back partialy matched and then have to re-enter another lay bet for the remaining unmatched amount as this would take too long and the odds may have shot back up again.
Is this method advised on Bet Angel or is there another better way of increasing the chance of the whole of my bet being matched and not just some of it.
Sorry for going on a bit, my first time on here and i'm desperate to get started thats all.

Thankyou in advance for all your comments.

hi !

u can place the back bet at the price u want and then simply wait for the price to drop, u need to select the tab ONE CLICK from bet angel keep the option GREEN ticked then u need only to hit any button below Green in order to split profit in all traded use small stakes for testing .

Hi george, thank you for taking the time out to reply to me and help me.
In running when the odds drop and I place my lay bet by hitting any button under green like you said, will I still get that confirmation window pop up and ask me to confirm if I want the bet placed, like it does when I place the back bet?
Or does ticking the green box stop this from happening and as soon as I hit the button to place the lay bet, everything is traded and equilized instantly?

Thankyou for you time, very much appreciated.
David :)

Hi ,

I forgot to mention that you need to untick the option Confirm Bets next to Max liability at the top of bet angel and then everything equilized instantly without confrmation.

Hi David

I also like you trade in play and I find the easiest way to do this is by using the ladder.
When you open the trading screen you will see a tab that says ladder press this and it will bring up three ladders representing the first 3 horses in betting these can be changed via the drop down menu to any horse in race.
On this page you will see a "tick" next to "confirm bets", deselect this by clicking the tick (you now will not get the message asking if you want to place the bet)
Next you will see a heading "trading profit" and under this "greening" click the white box beside these and it will put a tick inside the boxes.
You will now notice at the side of each ladder will be rows of boxes beside each price with green zeros in each.

To place your bet you now need to select your stake and bet, this can be done on the one click page or on the ladder whichever you are more comfortable with, once your bet has been matched you will notice that the green zeros will have changed to monetary values green when your position is in profit and red when not.
Once the race goes in play all it is a matter of doing is to click the greened up price you want (click the green number in the box) this will put the correct amount in the lay box to provide you with the green amount you clicked If this price is touched in play.

P.s. I would recommend you try this a few time with the minimum stake until you get used to the software.

Hope this helps

Ian
