Betfair seemed to hold on to my unmatched bets- just paid out now from the 20:36 issue...

Its a poor reflection of my trading skills when the Befair crash tonight gave me my best day for a month. It was lucky that I was laying an outsider. I was in profit for the day before the crash, and the horse I was trading started at a much shorter price than the one I layed it at. Hence it looks that the crash helped me avoid my regular big loser for the day. All that time spent listening to ‘Trading in the Zone’, trying to implement his advice, watching markets, trying out simple ‘edges’, keeping records and analysing my mistakes, when all I needed was blind luck. My sincere sympathies go to anyone who lost money on a good trade because of the crash.

I'm glad to hear you had a bit of luck to cheer you up. When it crashes, sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. It should balance out.
But, in order to have the best chance of it balancing out, you need a lot of crashes.
Logic therefore says that if BF is ever going to crash, it would be better if it crashed more often.

As long as the bet was before the off they'll honour it

Anyone receive notification of todays Betfair site maintenance ?
I get marketing emails from them most days yet nothing to communicate planned site outage.
