Hi Everyone

Over the last week I've been dobbing using automation and everything has been fine. This morning I set up my trades as normal, but when I checked my account after the first three races which I had dobbed, I noticed that one of the dobs had lost, but the other two appear to have only placed the back bets. As it happened, the horses that I had dobbed went on to win (and I profited much more than I expected :D ) but I can't work out why my lay bets had not been triggered. I thought that may be for some reason my lay bets had not been kept over to the inplay, so I watch what happened on the next dob and it worked fine. The back bet was placed with an offset lay bet of 50%, it was kept over into the inplay period and was triggered when the price of the horse that I had dobbed dropped by 50%. Go figure!

Can anyone suggest why the other two dobs did not work as they should have, as it's baffling me!

How many markets do you have in guardian and what refresh you using?

and what arm times are you using on your keep bets?

I currently have 64 markets open in Guardian and a refresh interval of 1 second.

Allow rule to trigger up to = 2 times

Wait 5 seconds before rearming

I would guess your rule/s are not armed for more than a few seconds if so that will certainly be the reason and the link below will explain why and how to best set guardian up, even if this isn't the cause of this problem your refresh rate is still to slow for that amount of markets so its worth a read anyway

I'm glad you asked this question didtaylor as I've recently been having the very same problem. And thanks to Dallas for his quick response suggestion. In my case soon after starting in Bet Angel 3 months ago I was 'Dobbing' about 8 - 10 horses a day. I set up the automation using Peter Web's 'Automated dobbing' video on youtube as a guide. I must have used it at least 500 times and it never failed to place both bets.

Recently I've been trying some automation for greyhounds and I've loaded the day's win markets into guardian. so that means around 100 or so dog markets. I set the refresh to 'restrict refresh' and every 20ms. However I noticed that on occasions the automation will only place the back bet however at other times in the day it will place both bets.

Will look at the link Dallas provided.
