Just seen that tonight on News Night on BBC2 at 10.30pm there is a special report into match fixing:

Fifa have issued a statement regarding allegations of potential match-fixing by the Nigeria team at SA2010

The governing body have not denied being given such information, but stated that their own subsequent investigations have shown no evidence of any wrong-doing.

Doesnt explain what they were actually doing that was illegal?

Unless it just the gambling itself that is illegal...

Yeah - I should have posted it in a seperate topic as well as it isn't linked to the match fixing talk from what I can gather :oops:

The stuff in China (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/10519679) where they accumulated more than £9.7bn is also a bit crazy but again little info about it.
