They tweeted that bets matched after the off time would be void but this was placed 11mins after the off.

There is no other excuse. It's central to their business but they don't seem to invest much in it.Mr Undercover wrote: ↑Mon Aug 28, 2017 5:16 pmIt's hard to believe this is a professional technology company at times, you could forgive once a year maybe but the frequency of these self inflicted outages is telling of a very poor operational process.

They are all over the shop. It was voided for me on that horse and now they have changed it and credited my account for trades I made 20 mins after the winner was announced. I dont expect it will still be the same in an hour.

They will take it back!dragontrades wrote: ↑Mon Aug 28, 2017 5:24 pmWow if anyone backed it for many thousands then take the money and run
Im still trying to get my head around what is the strategy of laying a horse 20 mins after the result for 10K and backed up 2 prices behind with another few K? Is it some dodgy BF rule where by the backer loses half their stake if the market is voided?

i've been credited with heaps of cash laid in-play on the 1605 so i presume they are going to be running some sort of clear up later.

Once you've been credited legally they can't take it backMr Undercover wrote: ↑Mon Aug 28, 2017 5:29 pmi've been credited with heaps of cash laid in-play on the 1605 so i presume they are going to be running some sort of clear up later.
The settlement engine is a bit archaic so it involves, removing, adjusting replacing, then removing and so on. You won't know the final result until it's settled.steven1976 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 28, 2017 5:21 pmThey are all over the shop. The settlement engine is always quick to calculate and take loses!

What was most revealing, apart from betfair's ineptitude and lack of communication despite receiving many thousands of pounds annually from many/most of us, (as if we didn't already know - have they EVER once in 17 years explained an outage?), was that during the 4.55 at Ripon, even during the last 2-3 furlongs, the amounts on the ladders were virtually unchanged from pre-race. It wasn't as if people couldn't cancel bets; it was like they were simply unaware of what was going on......so the conclusion must be - the vast majority of these people aren't even watching the racing! So who on earth are they, and what is their game plan?
That's the conclusion I reached while watching all these bets remaining while the true odds would be wildly different.

Gone again from my account now. All over the show. I wish HSBC could take back money like BF as they would have saved me 12K on a fraudulent transaction last year!

yeah , i notied that very strange. Normally when Beaker forgets to press the big red in-play button on his play-centre prices still dynamically adjust as if in-play.. so that was very odd. I jumped in and filled my boots on the 1605 but presume they'll come for it later.weemac wrote: ↑Mon Aug 28, 2017 5:50 pmWhat was most revealing, apart from betfair's ineptitude and lack of communication despite receiving many thousands of pounds annually from many/most of us, (as if we didn't already know - have they EVER once in 17 years explained an outage?), was that during the 4.55 at Ripon, even during the last 2-3 furlongs, the amounts on the ladders were virtually unchanged from pre-race. interestingly the line entry in my Account Statement has a status of "FIX"... and they are absolutely correct it is a fix without my approval.

Unlucky! For anyone that missed it I grabbed a screen shot. Still seems bizarre that there can be more than 21K laid up for grabs on a horse that has won 15 mins earlierMr Undercover wrote: ↑Mon Aug 28, 2017 7:22 pmyep, sure enough they've taken the money from my account.dragontrades wrote: ↑Mon Aug 28, 2017 5:31 pmOnce you've been credited legally they can't take it backMr Undercover wrote: ↑Mon Aug 28, 2017 5:29 pmi've been credited with heaps of cash laid in-play on the 1605 so i presume they are going to be running some sort of clear up later.
