I have an automation file which I attach to every race, every day I trade. I trade everything manually, and this automation is my fail safe in case I forget to close out a position.
It's very simple with just 3 rules.
Firstly, green-all at start minus 30 seconds, fires up to 5 times for 5 seconds.
Second, keep-all, at start minus 28 seconds, fires up to 5 times for 5 seconds.
The last thing it does, is take SP all unmatched at start minus 1 second.
This has worked fine for a couple of years, and not let me down - but not this day.
I had a back of £250 at average 8.60 on Makkadangdang, with various lay bets queued. Unfortunately, it had been a big drifter and rather than take the hit, I thought I would leave it in the hope that it would come back late and my automation would sort it out. I was leaving it unattended, so moved my bank out just in case.
Just prior to the off, it was around 15.0. It looks as though it couldn't green-up because of exposure limit. This has happened before and is usually ok because by the second time it fires, all my lay bets have been cancelled freeing up my exposure. I have since put in a cancel all unmatched before the green all, but I am curious as to why it did what it did.

It couldn't green up because my lay bets were still there, but then it cancelled them. It then did the little green-up on Music Seeker, but nothing on Makkadangdang - should have fired a further 4 times. Almost a minute later, we're in play, then immediately suspended. By the time it tries to green up again, it's too late.
