I am running a tennis bot that trades during in play. I have read through the market cycling threads here and relevant help files. I have noticed that when I have the restrict refresh on..lets say from 11 sec before to 15600 after, sometimes the matches that turn In-Play don't appear in the In-Play list in Guardian unless I temporarily remove the refresh rate restriction-then the market suddenly appears in the In-Play list. Some of these matches are as far as 1 set completed into the match. The individual market refresh interval is set to 20ms (streaming) on both the One Click screen and Guardian.I tried running another machine in parallel with the restrict refresh off and the relevant market appears in the In-Play list on time-with a sound playing when my criteria is hit-this works every time to notify me on my test machine, but then sometimes that market is not in the In-Play list on my production/trading machine. I have tried restarting BA and the respective machine. I have a sync clock application running (as per PW's video on the subject.) on both machines. I have historically found that when the restrict refresh rate is off , some bets/situations are missed as Guardian cycles through the markets. This is obviously especially important in a fast scalping situation. It is not so important in the case of my tennis bot but I thought Guardian would automatically load an In-Play market as the start time threshold was crossed, regardless of restrict refresh setting? Have I got something/setting wrong? i am concerned that I am missing automated trading opportunities Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Quiet a lot of tennis matches will start a few hours late so you would be lucky to catch all these from start to end within your restricted times being used esp as the day goes on and earlier matches begin running over

Also its not unusual to have starts delayed by whole day on open courts so all these matches will fall outside your restrictions and will now be completely missed.

Thanks for that Dallas. I can understand how a delayed match would not have an in play status and thus would not appear in the list.I am not sure how matches overrunning affect the start times of upcoming matches but perhaps I have missed something there-unless in same tournament on and/or same court of course. My concern is that this has happened a fair bit and doesn't seem to have anything to do with delayed matches. The matches look to have started on time but don't appear on the list unless I have noticed that they are In-Play on the Betfair site or on a site such as Flashscore. I then double click on the match and voila it turns in In-Play or as stated previously I remove the restrict refresh and get the same positive outcome. I assume that unless that match has an In-Play status on BA then the bot/baf file won't run/act? It seems I am going to have to leave the restrict refresh off?

Multiple matches are played on the same court each day all with scheduled start times (which they never start earlier than) but if the earlier matches over run by going to tie breaks, have injury time outs or have rain delays etc that has a knock on effect for every match following on that court for the remainder of the day - its far from uncommon to have the later matches start anywhere near their original scheduled start time

Tennis are the one type of markets i wouldn't use restrict refresh for simply because of the number of delays

Thanks again Dallas. I appreciate you taking time out to reply to this thread. While I understand that delays could take a match start time out of/over the time interval threshold I have set (11 secs to 4 hours after In-Play) I am not clear on how this delay in In-Play status happens where match start times fall within this threshold or start on time. I guess I will accept the risk e.g. of where I have 50 tennis matches to monitor- there will be a potential delay of 1 second or so in bot action with restrict refresh off. This should fall within my acceptable trading parameters. Please let me know if I have misinterpreted anything.Cheers
