I'm trying a Back and Lay bot on horses , nothing special, just testing a few things. This is live, no pratice.
Everything is running butter smooth... until this happens:

10/6/2017 19:14:58: [G_Auto] : Modify bet persistence 104600187212 from 'Cancel' to 'Keep'

10/6/2017 19:21:09: Guardian has detected that the market is suspended
10/6/2017 19:21:09: Guardian has detected that the market is in-play
10/6/2017 19:21:09: Guardian has detected that the market is now unsuspended
10/6/2017 19:22:34: Guardian has detected that the market is suspended

I do not understand why the -£1, I was watching it live (I know bad habbit...) and I did see 29p green up.

Is it due to the stake method, as in percentage of my balance maybe? that skewed the all offset?

The -£2 was again a complete mystery.
As you can see from my P/L, I'm rolling in gold....

If you look at your matched bets you'll see Blue On Blue returned at odds of 4.75, even though it was backed at 5.2 in your log. That's probably because Favourite Treat was withdrawn for not entering the stalls, triggering a reduction factor of somewhere around, 8% or 9%, which explains the price reduction of BOB from 5.2 to 4.75.

The above is conjecture, but it fits the audit trail you've laid out.

Thanks for explaining, this is something new to me, wasn't aware that such thing could happen.

Interesting to note that the timestamp doesn't match, 1 hour off and it's a different date format too

It doesn't explain why the original lay liability wasn't affected by the Reduction Factor though. It's unclear whether the "Keep" log entry was to allow the lay to go in-play or take the Betfair BSP at the off, which was around 4.42 and doesn't tie in with the 4.7 the bet was settled at.

I never allow anything to go in-play, always taking the BSP so have no experience of how Betfair handles bets that are allowed to remain open beyond the off. In the normal course of events, unmatched lay bets are automatically cancelled in the event of a RF due to non-runner/s. However, if the option to take BSP is specified, the BSP bet stands and the original liability is reduced in line with the RF, with the SP backer's stake based on the matched BSP odds.

Is the RF reduction applied in the same way if "Keep" is used to allow bets to go in-play? Sorry, I don't know but it might be worth investigating the BSP option rather than letting them go in-play, if you aren't already doing that.

This bot is for in-play, back 10 sec before and keep bet. It's in the shared files section of the forum. I have added a few more rules to it.
