Guardian spool about 5 to 10 markets in a second on streaming (time shown on last updated column), which is restricting me to run a generic pattern seeking bot on about 50 markets else odds may change too much before bot takes action.
what can be done to improve guardian reading speed? (BA is running on hosted win10 machine latency under 20ms)
is it ok to run a bot on 50+ markets or more all day long? and place only few bets avg 30 a day (total value $200, +-$60).
Any concern from bfair side if my account could be flagged as reading too much data and placing less bets.
any best practices?
Guardian market switch time - speed
I runs a few instances of BA everyday with guardian full of markets and all refreshing at 20ms so that wont be a problem for you.
Depending on your automation you could always use the restrict refresh option of guardian which focuses its attention on just the markets required

Refresh interval is set to 20 seconds.
for 39 markets shown in screen print, the difference is 10 seconds in "last updated" time stamp (20:01:54 to 20:01:44). if Guardian is refreshing a market every 20 milliseconds then i expect 50 markets per seconds which is not the case here.
any suggestion, what could be causing slow market refresh?

The 'Market Switch Time' is the time at which it will automatically switch to that market on your main trading screen (ie, 20 secs before KO it will open the market to your one-click screen) it has nothing to do with refreshing.
At 20ms you will be refreshing 50 markets per second (your last update column shows the time of this)

Dallas,
did you happen to choose 'Dallas' as screen name just by choice, or if you live in Dallas, Texas?

It's more because of a unhealthy obsession I have with the 80s TV show

Gotcha.. let me know if you plan to visit Dallas, Texas. i have some ties there

Is there anything that would cause guardian not to refresh the markets. I saw that the volumes weren't changing. I could not see the last update time refeshing which i would normally see. Using 20ms refresh rate. Soon as i went into the one click screen the volume updated. I had restrict refresh unticked. Soon as i fired up another instance of bet angel everything was back to normal.
