Ok so today my little bot seemed to be working away quiet nicely. Then all of a sudden I took a massive loss in perspective compared to what id been earning.
The issue looking at the log seems to be that the Back Bet got placed and filled.
The market then got suspended for whatever reason meaning the lay bet seemed to not get placed. (Unlucky is 200ms I know).
This meant no stop loss was there to protect me as its attached to the lay bet and the runner drifted out untill my bot greened up before the off.
I need to green up if the market gets suspended without it interfering with the rest of my automation. I fear if I just have it firing a green up every second aslong as the unmatched bets is equal to 0. It could well again interfear between the time the back and offset lay gets placed. Any ideas??
Automated Offset Bet Issue
Its not possible to green up or place any bets while a market is suspended but you could add a green up rule with a
'Unsuspended time condition'
Time since market was unsuspended
is equal to 2 secs (or similar time)
That basically says if market suspends then green up 2 secs after its active again
I wasn't trading today but did notice on the todays racing thread users reporting that Betfair messed up and turned a race IP early then suspended it again, that will of sent prices haywire so sounds like it could of been that market your referring too

Couldnt get my head round if i wanted this to trigger multiple times incase of multiple suspensions how id stopped it firing off 1 after the other after the first suspension

If you use greater than it will keep triggering long after the suspension (stopping you from doing anything else)
but by using equal to a number of seconds it will trigger once then by the time it re-arms it wont be able to trigger any more times unless there is another suspension so long as you set it to trigger multiple times.
If your worried about it not being matched you could create a duplicate to trigger when equal to 4 secs and even another when equal to 6 secs so following each suspension you'll have three green ups each triggering 2 secs apart, so just remember not to open another trade till after the last has triggered
