I manged to trade the 14:40 so seems suspension occurred at different times for different people. Call me paranoid but is it a coincidence this happens just after £84 was matched at 999/1?
Could you actually trade the race right up until the off ?
Yeah, and In running which may explain the money being matched at 999/1. If they were the unlucky ones who experienced the outage earlier they would have just had to sit there and watch it.

I had noticed there was a few bets being placed while the market was suspended but I would expect them to void bets after the off. They are supposed to disable betting when the website is no longer operational.

I started getting errors from 2017-12-21 14:34:23,195, the 14:40 then followed this:

2017-12-21 14:39:27,020 Suspended
2017-12-21 14:40:00,051 Opened
2017-12-21 14:40:07,584 Suspended
2017-12-21 14:54:57,056 Streaming 503 errors

It never went inplay.

I wouldn't want to be one of BF IT guys right now - someone's probably lost their Christmas Bonus! :o

They just settled a football market, which had been in-play when the outage hit (looks like it in BA at least). Usually a sign of life and light at the end of the tunnel, as they've actually started clearing up the mess left behind. At least that's how I remember it from past outages.

With respect .. ##### them.

In no other industry, can u get such an indifferent platform, which fails time and time again.

I have a bigger position than I would like, which I cannot close, and cannot hedge, as other exchanges dont offer the mkt.

Its just not right .. in these situations, Betfair should offer fair mkt price, cash-outs.

Dont hold your breath.

I very much agree. Clearly, I need to tread carefully, while people have their proverbial balls in BF mishap vice (I've got a bit more liability out, than I'd like fwiw), but I did write a rather long piece on potential it-issues at BF. Granted, from a personal perspective with a specific situation in mind. Still, no one seemed to give a toss, that they had serious issues in at least a department of their IT.
