Hi
Just trying to calculate what my potential earnings "Could" be on the horse racing markets over the next twelve months based on my daily average...
How many days a year can you trade on the horses?? Are there a lot less races during the winter??
Thanks
Peter
(...Or thinking about it..if someone out there has access to a database that lists the total number of races that would be brill as I could multiply it by my average per race..!!) Thank you
Annual Horse Racing...

Last year Peter traded 8545 races. Racing takes place nearly every day all year round. Just a few days off each year I think. Good Friday, Xmas day, Xmas eve and maybe one or two other days.
We wouldn't recommend trading seven days a week though or you will burn out!!

Although there is plenty of action during the wonter (when its not being called off) it is quite different to now, in that there is hardly any evening races, but on the positive side you may find you can pull more out of each race during the day as liquidity is not spread across so many races in the winter

I extracted this from my dbase for you. Gives you the total number of races broken down in a few different ways; by month, by class, by course, by classification, handicaps non handicaps, etc, etc.
