Having a little go at Marino vs Williams. Laid Williams at 1.04 she isn't firing on all cylinders at the start.

I've laid Venus at 1.06 too

I'm just waiting for the ideal time to green up

There's question marks over her fitness, so might be a good bet for an upset here

Williams 1st serve % is rubbish so far and she doesn't look that comfortable on serve at the moment. This was my rationale.

If serve is held then that ninth game will be critical.

Yeah, me too

Without her serve on top form, Venus becomes an erratic player

Though she double faulted, that was a much better service game from Williams to go 4-4.

5-4 to Marino, this is where she needs to pull out a few shots. Two in a row against the Williams serve could see her one set up.

Close but not quite. Looks like it's could go to a tie break, 5-5.

I've greened up at 1.14 Peter

I might regret that

It's a bit random as both serves are dreadful at the moment. Both are hovering around 50%. Marino has more aces so I will hold on as Marino has a chance to break next for the set.

Tie break could be interesting with the poor serving at hand.

Trying to rationalise what to do at the tie break. I think I will trade out with Marino serving first.

Hurrah, we both got that right. Price touched 1.29 when Marino was a mini break up but we are now back to the starting price. Time for a beer now and I have to finish a magazine article, so I want some quality time before going to bed. Looking forward to doing battle again tomorow evening.
