My broadband is very slow today so I will post this up and that may be about it from me today.

This race looks farcical to me but as ever something has to win it. When I look at these races I always try to find a horse that has a decent chance of staying the trip. Some of these have no chance on breeding of staying this trip but as I have said many times before a race full of sprinters could contest a 2m hurdle and one of them has to win. The win would not make them a 2m hurdler!

The favourite Sassanian is a crazy price at 2.34 and I think the low price is down to connections and the recent results. He did battle in his last race but it was a poor contest and I would not want to take 2.34 about him. I think this trip is about as far he wants to go and they make it a true test (hopefully) then he may struggle again. His breeding doesn't really suggest stamina, it suggests more speed and preciousness if I am honest and you cannot take 2.34 on that alone!

Baraathen fell last time out and he wasn't looking like the winner so that run doesn't inspire me. I am not sure he will be suited by the trip or the undulating track. I could be wrong but 4.5 is also too short

Dazeen is made 3rd favourite at 8.0 and I cannot for the life of me understand why? I don't think this horse would stay 2m1f in a horse box!! Okay so this is a poor field and something has to win but I would want 16-20 about this horse before I even considered an interest.

Valantino Oyster This is more like my idea of a horse with a chance at a sensible price. His breeding suggests he will get all of this trip and would probably be better at slightly further. He won at 1m4f on the flat so he has the stamina for this trip. Unfortunately his jumping was a bit sloppy last time so I would hope they have worked on that. I think the undulations at Sedgefield will possibly bring his stamina into play and don't be surprised to see him making ground (hopefully) as they climb to the top of hill before turning for home!

Miereveld ran a poor race at Cartmel last time. Perhaps the turning track didn't suit because he should have been fit from the flat. He finished behind Valantino Oyster on the flat so I see no reason for this horse to reverse the pecking order. I cannot see this one staying if we get a truly run race.

Teela Stable mate to Valantino Oyster and another who may not get this trip

Bojangles Andrews Desperate performances on the flat and nothing in the breeding suggests this attempt at hurdles will bring about any great improvement. If I am perfectly honest I don't think he would win if he started now! Watch him lead from start to finish and win with his head in his chest...only joking! :D

A poor race but a favourite that is a crazy price. I think that when punters notice his form and the chance he may not get this trip we mat see this drift out to 2.60-2.70...higher would be most welcome :D

If you play in running then Valantino Oyster may go to a big price and then shrink if as I hope his stamina comes into play as the climb the hill to the home turn. If I was punting then this horse each way seems tremendous value as I feel he should at least make the places.
