From my recent experience, when there's just one low-grade meeting on it trades with the stability of a higher class meeting, presumably because there's more focus on it.

May I ask why? Not worth your time or are the markets different in some way because of being the only meeting?
It personal preference but with the little money there is arriving over a much longer period, I find it hard to stay 100% focused. I'm much more at home with days that have the usual steady rhythm to proceedings. Beside, really busy times just around the corner so you have to grab a break when you can, probably won't be having many days off now until October.

I'm glad of the enforced break, won't be long before night racing starts and the number of meetings a day will ramp up dramatically.

We shouldn't need a break enforced upon us, we should be able to take a break whenever we like. ;)

It's a bit like farming, sometimes the fields are empty and sometimes its harvest time.

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to get into horse racing trading--primarily scalping. However, I know next to nothing about where to find good markets.

1) Where to find the best markets (high liquidity/volume) to practice/trade? On guardian I am seeing markets from many different countries.

2) Any advice as it relates to horse racing for a newbie.

Regards and thanks,
Xandolli.

When you see money lying in the street it's hard to resist the urge to bend down and pick it up.

You'd be better off starting a new topic with that question so more people see it.

I'm a bit frustrated. I have a job interview in a couple of weeks. I'd like to trade more; there's a real danger I'll get this job and then I'll have a decision to make.

In a couple of weeks, we'll be into the evening racing so my advice would take the job (or at least seriously consider it) and trade around it.
If your tradings going well come sept/oct then have a rethink,

It will be easier to give up the job for trading if your tradings going well than finding another job if tradings not paying your bills at the moment
