I wonder if any of you could help with a couple of questions I have:
Are the odds displayed on the TV channels (ATR/RUK) the on-course bookmakers’ prices?
Is there a decent website where the TV prices are displayed that refreshes regularly? Often they are not display on the TV or are rolling between pages of the card or showing the exchange prices which I am well aware of!)
Thanks in advance.

Hi superfrank
I use sportinglife.com.
Just click on live shows on the left column. It refreshes regularly from about 5 mins pre-off.
The only problem I have is the odds are shown fractionally and I can't find an option to change them to decimal if anyone can help.
regards
Sean

I used to have a piece of software that displayed the live on course prices, can't remember the name? it was something like price it.
I didn't find it helped at all, I've noticed a lot of traders have oddschecker or sportinglife up while they trade so it must help some people.

I had it also many moons ago but they stopped supporting it as far as I know and it stopped working for me years ago and they never replied back to me. I found it useful at the time but that was a good 5+ years ago.rhysmr2 wrote:I used to have a piece of software that displayed the live on course prices, can't remember the name? it was something like price it.
BTW, it was called Price It.
Yeah it must have been a good few years back! The problem I found with it and probably why I don't look at on course odds these days is a similar problem to when I look into form and such like, I get it in my head that it should drift or stream like it is on course then when It doesn't I find it harder to cut my loss because I'm thinking "but it should be going this way!!"

Thanks for your replies.
I'm now using the sportinglife.com live shows. I don't use the odds decide which way to trade, but it's sometimes useful to be able to glance at them for certain races.

You will see on videos by Sam Wilson and Jack Birkhead that they both have the bookmakers odds at the bottom of their screens. I tried it for a while but found it a bit distracting - I guess it was just a matter of giving it longer to get used to the new layout.
I think it has it uses but is just another one of many indicators - how you interpret that info alongside all other info is down to the individual though.
