Hi All,
anybody ever come across the situation of having an automatic offset bet being placed in the market when the global settings box is unticked? I'm sure I've missed something but I'm dashed if I can see what,
cheers, P

Never seen or heard of the like - have a look in the log if you haven't closed BA yet.
Hi A,
the log doesn't offer any explanations
09/09/2010 21:16:00: Market changed to Wawrinka v Youzhny - Match Odds
09/09/2010 21:16:02: Market has been unsuspended
It was my first go at tennis, so I'll just leave it alone, never had a similar instance on the racing or football.
Thanks anyway, P

Hi Gents,
I'm baffled, although that's not an unusual state of affairs, so thank you all for your suggestions.
To elaborate, I did three things different to my normal routine.
Firstly in the afternoon I'd undocked the manual bet window and adjusted it to show only the participant details and microcharts removing the columns relating to betting and whilst I hadn't "put it back" I wasn't using that screen.
Secondly, I used the one click screen.
Thirdly, I attempted to trade a tennis match for the first time.
I watched the match for a few games then placed a back bet (I'm certain I only "clicked" once. I saw the red "placing bet" box pop up, then was surprised to see it pop up again immediately. A lay bet had been placed.
I assumed I'd left the Global variables box ticked, but on checking found that that was not so.
Being a bit slow on the uptake, I repeated the procedure, with the same result.
My p/l account details do not differentiate, in time terms, between my back bets and the lay bets.
Being the definition of a Yorkshireman (a Scot with all the generosity squeezed out) and having used minimum stakes the sums of money are insignificant. I'd like to know what I've done to avoid doing it again. I'm sure that it's something daft, I just can't tell what,
cheers, P

Hi,
it eventually occurred to me (did I mention I was slow on the uptake?)that I could attempt to replicate the conditions from last night by playing on a match tonight. So I did, with the same result
10/09/2010 22:00:32: Market changed to Djokovic v Federer - Match Odds
10/09/2010 22:01:32: Market changed to V Williams v Clijsters - Match Odds
10/09/2010 22:01:32: Market has been unsuspended
10/09/2010 22:01:41: £ 2 Back bet placed on Venus Williams at 1.94. Fully matched at 1.96. Ref: 12072112312 ( Fill or kill bet with 15 seconds delay. Offsetting by 1 ticks. Stop at 2 ticks. Place stop at 5 ticks. )
10/09/2010 22:01:47: £ 2 Lay bet placed on Venus Williams at 1.95. Entirely unmatched when it initially reached the market. Ref: 12072112967
10/09/2010 22:01:47: Stop triggered. Modify bet 12072112967 from 2.00 @ 1.95 to 2.00 @ 2.02
It's apparent that the offsetting rules are being triggered although the Global Settings box is not marked. I must be missing something, somewhere,
cheers, P

The global trigger is only for use on the ladder not the one click screen. If your offsetting and fill or kills are ticked at the top then they will trigger on the manual, charting and one click(and maybe on the automation "not too sure about this one")
So you just need to remove the ticks from the offsetting and fill or kills. That should sort it out.
