When choosing mobile broadband for trading when you're out and about don't get t-mobile. They have a "content-lock" to stop kiddies looking at naughtiness and this includes betfair. You can get out of it but is a nightmare to do so.

yeah i had t-mobile and ended up going to a shop to get rid of the content lock. Some of the stuff you couldn't go on was pretty ridiculous i.e youtube. I know three and orange don't have these. However you can still get on bet angel with these locks you just can't get onto the actual betfair site.

Usually just a quick call to the service provider and they will unlock. I did mine in the shop at the time of purchase.

Hi
I think it all depends on your location...
I use a Vodafone 3G dongle in my backup laptop (at Home)...and a 3 Sim in my ipad for when I'm out and about. I did some checking on line to see how had the best coverage UK wide and 3 came out top (£7.50/month).
I must admit; it might just be perception, but the 3 connection seems faster than the Vodafone to me?
Regards
Peter

I use orange and tmobile for broadband, but have also tried and rejected vodaphone and 3.
One or the other works better at individual locations.
This is only from a central london perspective.
Coverage can change enormously from one street to the next because of supplier's mast position and high buildings etc.
If you are only using from a few specific locations, then I would suggest you try several different suppliers.Take each on a weeks trial and check their performance.Do not take a supplier's coverage map as a guarantee. It is only a general guide.

I have 3, Vodafone and O2 as backup connections. But the best coverage for me and on the train to London has always been 3. I think it varies a lot on location and where you regularly use them. When I was away in August I couldn't get a reception on any of them where I was staying!

you might consider having a look at 3 mifi. basically its a portable "wifi hotspot". ive been alternating between a 3 dongal and mifi on and off for the last month or so. the dongal i find to be hit and miss. the mifi really consistant.
