Which there was a longer time vista here.

Javid is the obvious play, but I'm shocked to see so little money.

That market will start attracting interest now

Sajid Javid is rightly the favourite, for political reasons as much as anything - with the government being accused of blatant racism by other parties, what better way to diffuse those critics by appointing an Asian into the role?

for all the reasons that le tiss mentions, i agree that Javid looks a strong contender - probably worth a speculative ride down from 2.5 to 2 odds...

[edit] - placed a token £100 on at 2.52. odds have now contracted and only the lay side remains..

Sajid Slaphead no doubt selected for politically correct reasons. How long before the 'I understand foreigners because I am one' line.

He's not there on ability, every other position he's held has been a complete balls up and they've moved him on in about 5 minutes.

Where's the talent?
Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government from July 2016 to January 2018.
Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills from May 2015 until July 2016.
Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport from April 2014 to May 2015.
Member of the Work and Pensions Select Committee from June to November 2010.
