Caroline Garcia, pathetic

Bravery is certainly not part of the French DNA
strange it follows in lots of their sports exploits .........but especially tennis ...worlds best giver uppers
You guys, being a bit harsh Caroline there... she just had a bad day at the office, she does that. When she's not got her timing, it's horrific. She'll continue improving..

I don't think she gave up or showed a lack of bravery, but can't say I disagree on a moderate level with the general sentiments about letting a match go easily. But I'd definitely miss the general unfathomable random madness of French people playing tennis if French weren't French..

Just gut feeling or can you elaborate on the perception that lead to that? I was looking for opposing opinions to mine in order to stop me from going in too heavy, and you've provided one..

He seems difficult to read at present. When the FO started he was clear 2nd favourite to win the tournament, now he's 2.62 just to win his QF.

I know he's been disappointing, but he has shown a lot of metal to dig himself out of holes, so I wouldn't rule him out here

Keys **should** thump Putintseva. Put can defend against Strycova and frustrate with high bouncing top spin forehands.. but those shots get taken early and hard by Keys. She should lap those up. Also been very impressed with Key's movement and ability to defend, she has improved a lot in those areas.

WTA caveats apply. She could do a Garcia.. more than capable of switching on the spray cannons.

Keys as we know falls into the Sloane Stephens and other Americans abroad camp but being a major I think she ll be switched on and agree thump Putz whos service has improved to get her this far but this I think is a step too far and an online Keys a possible 6-3;6-4 etc
Zverev had a days rest and beat Thiem comfortably albeit 3 sets a month ago ,tight at first but Zverev in 4 for me

Keys not quite getting the ball through the court as easily as I thought she might, court looks slightly heavier today to my eyes.. she also looks slightly nervy, but I think that'll settle down.

Pretty much 'all in' Thiem in that last game.

Zverev is going to have to run a very very long way to win this.

Madison settled down? Her game should be to patiently thump forehand after forehand on Putint's loopy shots..

Sascha is too passive to win a slam at the moment, reminds me of an early days Murray
