Hi,
I did not find any earlier questions on this, sorry if I missed it somewhere.
When I load up all the horse races for the day into guardian, I want it to automatically change to the next market at a given time before off. This should hapen when ticking the box for bet angel market switching as I understandit. However it does not do so. I am connecting bet angel with excel if that matters. Any common mistakes here or suggestions of what the issue can be?
Guardian not automatically switching bet angel market
Hi
I've posted on this a couple of times, the links are here:

Bet Angel - loads of users are asking for this and i really hope it is a relatively simple fix as all of the code is already there in the existing guardian switching of the BA front-end, just needs enhancement
for the excel integration (i said i'd gladly pay more to have this feature
), it makes it a lot easier to fully automate a trading tool
thanks!

Just to clarify, Guardian switches the bet angel market just fine, so not sure where your issue is.
If you are looking for Guardian to switch the market in excel it does this also BUT not a set time before the off... you can't resstrict it cyclying through all the markets which is annoying if you have several dozen loaded it just slows everything down.

lagrange78 - In Guardian, what time have you got it to switch? I use this most days, with 'Automatically switch Bet Angel market' ticked and the 'Market Switch time' set to 240 seconds.
It might be worth checking your time and time zone settings. If these are set wrong it would look like it's not working I suppose.
I've not understood you here. If you set the 'Market switch time' to a number of seconds before the off then it will do this.
This way you just have the active market in your spreadsheet and it will change automatically at the time specified before the off.

If using a spreadsheet, just set as above, link via the 'Excel' tab in Bet Angel and NOT the Excel link in Guardian.toptrader wrote:you can't resstrict it cyclying through all the markets which is annoying if you have several dozen loaded it just slows everything down.

Ahhh... but you can't do this in the multiple excel sheet feature
Say you want to monitor the Win and the Place market (i.e. 2 markets), you can't tell guardian to wait until X minutes before the start time to cycle through these, with the result it will needlessly cycle through an event that may not start for 12 hours
Alternative solution: Load 2 copies of Bet Angel up and use the excel swtiching in the front-end (not Guardian)... unfortunately BetAngel in it's wisdom loads 2 seperate instances of excel so there is no way to link between the sheets!
