Quite a few times recently, more times than could be judged to be a coincidence, or just misfortune, ive had bets matched that have lost within the next second on in play football.
The ratio of it happening losing to winning is probably 20 or 30 to 1, so its a definitely a cheat that is happening.
can someone explain how people are beating the in play delay.
Even if the cheats have non delay pictures from tv as oppose to the usual slight dealy, surely betfair have pictures that are as good as the potential in play cheats and so the suspend would beat the few seconds delay it takes for the bet/match to register...
can anyone enlighten me...

MM, What market are you trading? are you trading at or very close to the market at the time of matching or are you getting caught in short term spikes?
If you are getting caught at or close to the market are you sure these are not bets coming into the market for instance when a team makes a strong counterattack and the potential for a goal is there, and the market reacts accordingly, if the attack fails those traders just exit for a small loss. Also there are more people at the games now using iphones etc with no delay so they do have an advantage in such situations.

its happening mainly on correct score football trading.
and its definitely guys beating the delay.
e.g i was looking to back 1-1 and 2-0 in a game the score was currently 1-0, both at slightly higher odds than were currently available to back at but lower than was available to lay at.
I offered to back 1-1 at 5.3 no bites, 5.1 no bites,4.9 no bites, 4.7 no bites, but easily got matched at 2-0...so cancelled all 1-1 offers. went back in 2 mins later at 4.9 no bites........ to be fair games looking like it will go 1-1 so can understand the slow matching... im watching the game, open play literally as the suspend comes up on a fluke (no free kick or corner etc, aginst run of play) goal to make it 2-0 my bet for 1-1 is matched a mili second b4 bettings closed. its happening more and more often, and as i say always against me, and always just Just JUST b4 the suspend by fractions of seconds... its defo cheating somehow.
cos i matched at 2-0 anyway i didnt lose just didnt win as much in trading thanks to the cheaters...

I get what you mean but if you were happy to back at that stage going off the pictures you have and you got matched surely you just got matched what you wanted?
It happens all the time in horse racing as the pictures most have at home are about 5 seconds behind the on course people and the delay is only 1 second but people know that and therefore you will often get matches that you wouldn't have got had you all been on the same pictures.
It might be worth emailing Betfair and seeing what they have to say - the only option would be to increase the delay on the placing of bets or for you to get a faster source or not bet on matches where you aren't happy with the delay.

peterle,it mainly happens on euro games non english, (yes ive made notes of when, what and how it happens) eng and scot prem and league games are usually ok.
andy, as soon as i realise wots going on i trade out and leave the game, for a small win or loss, its not worth trying to beat the odds its hard enough winning afew bob when its a fair game but its not on for me, when people are cheating too.
and yes im looking at all angles of making my connections and coverage more instant...
any advice ????
