does anyone know a way to use global settings in the make market option or to get a back and lay into the market at the same time more then one click apart

Make market simply backs at the current lay price and lays at the current back price so the global settings don't apply. If you want them to apply then reverse the book and click on the back and lay price and these orders will inherit the global settings.
