The punters thought it was given a lenient handicap mark of 64 considering it was 4th behind horse that went on to win a Group race. He clearly couldn't cut it in Maiden company so it was a handicap for him or the possibility he would never get his head in front.
A lot of people forget they are only 2yos and therefore the collateral form is dodgy. Unfortunately he then ran at Wolverhampton and appeared to be both staying on and handling the surface. This just adds to the belief that Richard Hannon (master trainer of 2yos) knows something and it must be well handicapped. The punters then pile in and the rest as they say is history!
I know it is a bit late now but I had Brave Battle rated 4th and ironically Saucy Buck was my top rated. He ran a cracker to get 2nd.
But..........I had the winner much further down my list!
