If you've been through the videos you should see its not too complicated to set up an automation file - the difficult part is deciding what you want an automation file to actually do.
Looking back through your 'problem' it seems you did get it fixed and working - it is doing what you asked it to do ie picking out something to back, placing a back bet, once that's taken it puts out a lay bet a few ticks away hoping for a profit - but your lay bets aren't being taken. That's not an automation problem - thats the market just not going the way you want it to. You need now to think about what you could change to increase the likelehood of catching a runner that will come in enough to get to your lay bets.
