Derek reminds me of the part played by Paul Newman in 'The Sting'.

I'm in the same boat, Dallas , I really don't understand why it's so hard to grasp my view on the situation and why we need all these pointless examples of betting at 6's when the true price should be 2.8 etc Plus I'm unsure what the forum rallying story of a cashback is supposed to imply? Are we meant to assume the money was passed on to the cashier and then popping off to do a couple of hours work at the local soup kitchen or drop a newspaper over it, cross his fingers , check for CCTV and hope no one noticed their 'fat fingered' mistake? I see Shaun quickly dropped in a tearjerker to distance himself from the latter and can only assume he forgot to mention rescuing an elderly neighbour's cat whilst there
At the end of the day Betfair have set the rules for us with their t&c's so no need to worry about moral dilemmas of fat fingers, incorrectly priced bets etc It's an exchange people can freely set any bets they wish and obviously if you're taking them, by virtue of the exchange if they're matched you were offering best price at that time. I've made plenty of fat finger mistakes botting and no issue with anyone who's benefitted from them. I've no issue taking someone's bet at 6's when it should probably be 2.8. I've stated plenty of times you can't be too moral in the murky world of gambling. Hopefully that's cleared that part up for Derek.
If we come to 'past posting' we're talking about taking bets after the result is known, you are fully aware this is not within Betfair's rules and would be voided if they managed the market correcty or were made aware of the error, no ifs or buts just correctly voided. In law I guess it would be similar to your cashback story and considered "theft by finding". Hopefully that's clear , every bookmaker out there would void these bets too, they aren't considered some clever way of getting value. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Late_betting
All I pointed out was that it could be considered hypocritical for someone to criticise an ebook seller whilst bragging about past posting and I stand by that point.

I honesty wouldn't have a clue if Derek would see that as a compliment or slurBetScalper wrote: ↑Wed Jul 25, 2018 1:15 pmDerek reminds me of the part played by Paul Newman in 'The Sting'.

Surely it’s because of the lack of watering facilities rather than a problem within racing.
Firm ground never going to attract many horses. Horses welfare first. I certainly wouldn’t run my horses their and even if they liked it quick. Asking for tradegy.
Mark Johnston, Mich Channon running their horses at Bath also confirms my opinion that they have no care for their horses at all.
They can certainly train winners, but are nortious known for over running there horses and running their today just enforces the opinion I have always carried.

I call days like today a 'Dancing Days' where I'm not focused intensely or looking at one sport/type of market
Instead, ill have the watchlist and alerts fully armed and will be dancing between markets and sports just trying to pick up an opportunity here and there
Y, I know it's to do with the ground but football matches used to struggle in the winter due to muddy pitches. Racing is a bit behind the times.SeaHorseRacing wrote: ↑Wed Jul 25, 2018 2:05 pmSurely it’s because of the lack of watering facilities rather than a problem within racing.

WTF happened in this?
Did the market not suspend or something?

Dallas actually said if anyone else wants to do it it's fine and up to them!
This was sparked off by your implication that I might nick someone's wallet down the pub!spreadbetting wrote: ↑Wed Jul 25, 2018 1:16 pmPlus I'm unsure what the forum rallying story of a cashback is supposed to imply
