Don't know why they have to have Galway clash with Goodwood - there's nothing next week.
Been like that for many years , think Galway has always started on the last Monday in July for many years now , tho used to be only 3 days rather than 7 days.similarly with Glorious Goodwiod.

Not really a clash unless you physically wanted to attend all days of both meetings, different horse racing jurisdiction/ country and highly unlikely a horse would target races at both meetings.

For the tv viewer/ trader etc, both meetings fit in rather well with the three Galway evening starts etc.

Over the years many top class horses have made their debut’s at the Galway Festivel , Grey Swallow, Go and Go, Treasure Beach, Legatissimo, Caradak etc.

Incidentally Caradak later went on to win the Celebration Mile at Goodwood

Youd think the next 2 will be backed, Big Country and Salateen, both leaders, nothing coming from off the pace

At the course yes, another great ride from SDS

High draws important now (especially sprints), quicker ground near side

Has done this previously , more so in his early days with Charles O’Brien.

Pontefract well suited to front runners ,more so at certain times when they don’t come back despite the uphill finish

Came near side too with the runner up, Gabr had no chance from there

Interesting to note Highly Sprung in the next, looks well but drawn 1, will need a lot of things to go right to win from there

Races prominently and course and distance winner which might be more important than draw position in a relatively small field, would probably just prefer Gin In The Inn, course winner, prominent racer and stable in form, looks to be between the two

I thought you said you'd post with explanation why it will win. You need to work on your explanations. :)
