Did the market go inplay? I closed it when RUK said it was a powercut as I thought that may mean BF have lost pictures.
it acted as an inplay market at a certain point then suspended.

Hope that everything wasn't too much weemac, I escaped with a small loss, was surprised they settled it so quickly usually they take forever to reconcile BSP's and find off times etc

Yes, I established an opening position pre-off then traded inplay... but it's been settled as though my inplay bets didn't ever happen. No big deal in the end because I ended up just fractionally worse off than breaking even on that race as opposed to just fractionally better than breaking even if my inplay trades had counted - but I could have lost 6% of my bank and wiped out the whole day's profits so far if a different horse had won this one. I think I'll finish now for the day... I'm not pushing my luck with technical glitches going on. :D

Nottingham's pictures went down and I think the market was left open until they eventually realised it was in running and then suspended, all bets cancelled after the offical off time of 17:05:47

Ouch.
thx. Would it cost them too much to have a guy there on the phone back to the office?

Doesn't cost them anything when things go tits up other than a bit off commission so they're not going to bother with unneccessary expenses. They used to always have a guy on track dunno if they still do and he was maybe in the bar taking up the hospitality offers :)

Hardly their fault the pics went but you would think they'd at least have a radio link as I bet all the other bookies and even PP suspended when they jumped.

It’s interesting as I think this points to the fact that the inplay button is pressed by a guy watching pictures, makes sense as there is about a 3-4s delay on the market going inplay from the official start. To be fair to betfair I think it was a 5f race so not much time to realise what was going on.

So what the hell was that all about? 2000 Epsom

Some crazy stuff in the markets this week

(Even IR it was insanely being laid at evens)

That was just completely and utterly off the scale. Completely foxed me.

Did you get the IR chart? It flat lined at evens despite being well in front. Someone was doing their Robin Hood best impression.

It was my best result of the day but I ended up just sitting there in disbelief thinking surely this has to turn soon but it just kept on going and going and going. It should have been the trade of the year not the day!

Sounds like I should have, but I didn't. I watched the race but not the market.
