Opposing trade

Hi all,

I tried searching but didn't know exactly how to word it.

So hoping some kind person and can assist me now.

I want to place a (lay) bet and offset it by x ticks, but only place the offset when the opening (lay) trade has started to get matched.

Any support on this would be great, thank you.

PS - I know it's probably been asked and answered before, but I couldn't find it.

It's the fill/kill option you need to enabled to do this

You can then use batches to determine how much of your opening stake needs to be filled before it begins offsetting

for this, you need to add a Fill/Kill of xx seconds. This does 2 things:

1. It will only fill the order inside the time specified (i.e. the Fill/Kill seconds)
2. The offset will not be placed until the initial order has been processed

This effectively means that the initial order must be at least partially matched inside the time constraint. Thereafter, the offset will be placed to correspond to the amount of the initial bet that was placed (i.e. if the order is only partially matched, then the offset will be placed to match what has been placed)

Thank you for this. I tried, the concept does work however it's not doing what I need.

I have the ladder in reverse mode, and when I place the lay bet the back bet got matched first. I don't want a back bet placing UNTIL the lay trade is starting to get matched.

The reason I wanted to try this method out is due to a strategy I wanted to try.

It doesn't matter if the odds are reversed or not if fill/kill is enabled the opposing bet will not be placed until the opening bet is filled.

ie, if you place a lay this needs to be matched before the back bet is placed.

Set it up like in the following picture.

Then click on PINK boxes in the ladder to place your lay bet.

Then, as soon as your lay bet starts to get matched, BetAngel will trigger offsetting back bets 3 ticks away.
