Use the IP trader as well when looking for certain opportunities in running, it's great and more exciting to watch than the race itself sometimes!

Can be also a good guide pre off, to see top/bottom of ranges.

Plus not just for racing, other sports too.

They actually have a decent amount of prize money there today!!
That isn't that unusual for Chelmsford now, they have really upped the amount of Prize Money they offer recently. Though for some reason Trainers/Owners who love to moan about the lack of prize money in racing don't seem to want to support the track with runners. Only 3 races have more than 5 runners declared to run!

You will be happy to hear that Betfair are looking to release something before Xmas to prevent this, so don’t hold your breath but it they are working on it.

Be careful what you wish for. Its one thing preventing stakes under £2 but if it means you can't 'green up' your £1.25 after your £20 in and £20 out - that's a lot of traders out of the game.

Every now and then I see figures such as £140.00003125 on betfair (Float values)
I presume there's lots of rounding going on behind the scenes to allow different currencies matching with each other
From a business stand-point, you might expect the decision was made long ago to always round down wherever poss

They are after the penny shavers not the average trader.

I wouldn't worry about that (thanks for the information LinusP), there's no offence in placing a penny bet to green up, the issue is placing 20-30 such bets consecutively.

It's technically possible to have £10 on a 1.45 winner and make no profit - if somebody placed 1000 penny bets, the profit of each bet getting rounded down to zero!

It's the sad people who lay pennies at 2.48 (effectively getting 2.00) or back at 2.52 (getting 3.0) that they're after. Presumably they trade out for a free bet or green book - they must me making a guaranteed 10 pence per race!

If anyone has a headset and wants to chat with me Friday/Saturday whilst trading pre-race inbox me.
Mostly looking to discuss thoughts on the next market with someone as the previous race finishes, and to increase my accountability a bit.

Cheers
