Three things that have helped my trading and back pain:
1 I have increased the height of my desk by about 30CM and use a bar stool with a back on it. This allows me to trade standing up or sittiing down which I alternate.
2 I have a manual running machine, which every so often I run on for about 7 minutes... I find this improves concentration ten fold.
3 I use a pen and tablet. The pen is free from the tablet (no wires). I now dont get cramp in my han or pain in my shoulder, which I do get when using a mouse for long periods.
Hope this helps

Herbie

Hi
I would suggest that a lot of good advice has already been given and it maybe that a combination of the things already said that may help. I suffer with arthritis and understand discomfort well enough; I also have a friend who has had severe back pain through crumbling vertabre which had to be fused. She has gone through years agony however excercise especially in the morning helped greatly.
It might be an idea to see the GP just to be sure as you don't want to make somthing worse a consultation with a physio or osteopath or some accupuncture may also help. A mild excersise program incorporating swimming as it's an all over workout which is impact free.
It's somthing that is often overlooked and can be taken for granted "health" so one needs to look after oneself. The other thing that I don't think anyone has touched on is your bed is it in need of replacing or a memory foam topper? too hard too soft etc?
Hope it helps
Cheers

I had the same problem a while back, and the doctor prescribed me some anti-inflammatory pills. You could also try ibuprofin - as well as tackling pain, it has anti-inflammatory properties.
I'd have thought most office chairs these days are designed with Health and Safety in mind, and should give your back the support it needs.
Do you slouch in your chair? If so, that might be the cause. See http://www.globalspine.net/correct_sitt ... nique.html
I hope this helps.

I need some recipes against back pain. it usually comes up when sitting long hours behind computer. I guess everybody from time to time have this problem. So do you use any special chairs {I was thinking to buy a massage chair}, or do some exercises. Any tips are welcome
