Hi,
I'm new to Bet Angel and need some help.I like to bet "in play" and think the automated stop loss is a great idea.My "in play" strategy is to back a horse I fancy and if it shortens during the race lay it back for a profit at a pre determined figure using the "offsetting by" feature in Bet Angel. On the other hand if the horse fails to perform and drifts during the race then my stop is hit and I take a loss.
So I started to implement this strategy by backing a horse "in play" with an automated "offsetting by" target and an automated stop loss. The problem I found is that when the stop order was hit it took me out of the trade but it did not automatically cancel my "offsetting by" order and this then became a live "lay" order. When my selection subsequently shortened it triggered the "offsetting by" figure leaving me with a big loss when my original selection went on to win the race.
Am I doing something wrong or can the software automatically cancel the "offset by" order when a stop loss is hit?

if you place the bet as a fill or kill, the offsetting lay will only trigger when the initial bet is matched, which i think gets round the problem. but you might want to contact support to be sure.
id love to know the definitive answer too.
