Firstly, when I wish to alter an unmatched bet I don't want to have to cancel the entire existing bet and submit a brand new one. I will lose my position "in the queue" to be matched at those odds for the remainder of the bet or lay I want to keep.
Secondly, sometimes it is necessary to place a bet for less than £2 (to cover a high odds outsider, etc.). I have noticed that Bet Angel overcomes this in its dutching function and in greening out by placing a £2 bet at 1000/1 then increasing that existing unmatched bet by the small required amount before cancelling the existing £2 bet then amending the odds on the remainder to that required (or something like that).
Thirdly, particularly when operating in an in-play market there are the imposed time delays, sometimes upto as much as 9 seconds for a new bet to be placed. Whereas cancelling just part of an existing unmatched bet is instant, has no imposed time delay and greatly increases the chances of the remaining bet/lay being matched
This amend unmatched bet functionality is available in the standard betfair interface (I have often used it) but I see no way to take advantage of it via the excel spreadsheet in bet angel. That is to say that it is not one of the commands listed on the provided spreadsheet.
The bet reference number appears on the Excel spreadsheet when a bet is placed but unmatched and I assume this must be used in some way.
Is the list of commands at the top of the spreadsheet exhuastive or are there any others available but not listed?
