I have got 2 email 20 July and 10th August. I am hoping its not the 10th as I will be away on that date for a week. If not 20th why not 27th July or 3rd August. The 10th August is to far away.

Thanks

Jimmy

Hi Peter
As I am new to this and trying to arrange a lesson with Dave I thought I would like to listen into the forum, how do I do it, and the main question from me is do you always get out (good or bad) before in play.
Or do you hang on a few seconds and enable the stop loss.

Regards

hi betangel,

i have attended peters course and now that i have a few months trading experience behind me, i wondered if i was allowed to ask peter a question regarding something that he teaches on his course, or is that unfair as others on the forum might not have attended one of his courses?

many thanks

Hi Peter

I've made some videos of my daily trading using Betangel. Would you be interested in putting these up on betangel.tv? The file size is much larger than 20MB.

Also, I don't think I've ever thanked you for improving my trading on last years course I attended. Although I was trading professionally before taking the course, you made me think about the markets in a completely different way which has been doing wonders for my P+L. So, THANKS!!

Regards

Hi,

I've a couple of questions, if you don't mind.

1. Enhamced Ladder - I've just started to use the enhanced ladder for horse racing scalping using the 'out of the money' method. Which of the graphs is the most important to be aware of when trading in this manner ? I presume it is the WOM but better safe than sorry !!

2. Staking - When scalping using the 'out of the money' method, on a typical afternoon race (not a major meeting), what sort of stake would approximately be the 'maximum' that could be put through per turn ?

Many thanks,

Scott

Hi Peter
I attended your excellent course on March 16th this year
My first question:

We regularly see the betfair chart showing a large change in odds from say 10mins to 1 min before the off. Is it a viable strategy to try to catch these if so can you give us any suggestions of the best way?

Thanks

Hi
I didn't make my question very clear on the last post
I mean entering a trade at say 10mins before the off, closeing it at 1min probably with a trailing stop loss instead of trying to scalp it all the way or trying to catch a few swings. As most show a few reversals these would trigger the stop loss

~ What happens to keep bets that are matched inplay but a late withdrawal has happened?

E.g. you put a Lay Keep Bet in at 4.9 on a horse trading at 5.1 at the off despite Runner A being withdrawn as the 2nd last horse goes in to the stalls.

~ I assume the R/F is not applied and you therefore lay a horse at a much higher price than it should be?

~ What developments do you know of with regards to the opening up of the American market?

~ Stratergies to avoid/reduce the Premium Charge

~ Future developments at Betfair you may be aware of

Hi

My Question regards entering a trade, is it best to ensure an entry by taking available money although you then need a two tick movement to ensure a profit. or is it best to place outside the money and risk not getting on the predicted move.
Thanks.

I'd like to ask Peter a question regarding helping us become better traders. I am sure that most of us understand the theoretical aspects of this business and what should influence prices, shape markets etc.... I've attended Peter's course, as well as having had a 1-1 session with Dave almost a year later, and whilst my understanding has improved greatly, my practical results have not followed suit. Now, I know of a number of reasons why this would occur (mainly my own mistakes!), but in all the time that I have been gaining experience, I have seen little actual live trading performed by the professionals.

The point I would like to table for discussion is that how many of us would appreciate some enhancements to the SERVICE provided by Peter's firm, as opposed to enhancements to the PRODUCT (which although very welcome, in inexperienced hands could be another way to lose money).
For example, more web hosted sessions where Bet Angel subscribers could watch a trading session live, and pick-up some practical tips and see how the professional BetAngel team use the tools at their disposal.

Peter and his team have provided a world class set of tools for us to use, but not every one can pick up a tool and use it expertly. I believe that there are more services that could be offered by the BetAngel team to improve our ability, other than product enhancement, and I'd propose, as a starting point, that periodic Web hosted trading sessions would be beneficial to us all. We've all invested money both in terms of products and education with Bet Angel, but in my opinion, the emphasis from Bet Angel has been on adding functionality to the product, rather than helping customers identify and create profitable execution strategies. How about a workshop on that topic?

And please, Guys, I offer these thoughts as constructive suggestions to improve what we already know is an excellent product from an excellent team - I am not levelling criticism at anyone.

Im with you Steve. Great product, obviously, but some practical examples would be beneficial. The videos on youtube show it being done (the how) but dont explain the thinking behind it (the why).

Like others, I completely understand the philosophy, but the thinking behind the process is one I'm keen to learn more on.
I'd like to ask Peter for his opinion on maximising 'in play' sporting events. The liquidity is often very large, but making money appears to be a calculated gamble at times, and not a professional trade.
I'd also like to ask, if being a successful scalper needs a degree of knowledge on the event, or simply an in depth understanding of the market/prices?
Finally, I'd be keen to know what graphs he would particularly recommend. I use the ladder interface all the time & do OK. I don't use the graphs at all, I find them too muddly & it seems to cloud my judgement. However, I'm aware that I'm failing to maximise the full potential BetAngel offers
