That was a strange one for sure. The markets seem very erratic, especially close to the off, these days. That was driven down to 6's and seemed to have steady support then it was almost as if the nod was given and went right back out to 13.

looks like the markets are getting more and more appealing for a straight betting strategyspreadbetting wrote: ↑Thu Oct 11, 2018 3:15 pmThat was a strange one for sure. I'll give the NH season a miss and concentrate on trading but I'm really tempted to get back into punting for the flat season next year, just so many opportunities. I thought trading was safer but I'm beginning to wonder, how can you lose punting with sub 60% overrounds?dragontrades wrote: ↑Thu Oct 11, 2018 3:25 pmlooks like the markets are getting more and more appealing for a straight betting strategyspreadbetting wrote: ↑Thu Oct 11, 2018 3:15 pmThat was a strange one for sure. If you're a punter and study the racing the night before you will have decided what price you think each horse is worth.
When I was betting I often backed a 5/1 winner only to look at the graph and see it 12/1!
If I was betting now I think I'd be more inclined to price up the entire race and be prepared to back any or every horse in the race at a pre-determined price, rather than focusing on 2 or 3 that I think may represent value. Let's face it, with Betfair graphs as they are, almost every horse represents value at some stage.
