Why does Betfair want to charge me for data usage
Can anyone tell me why Betfair have sent me two emails about data usage charges but havnt charged me, one was for £45
if what ever it is for is it worth Trading, this month i am actually in loss by about £225, if am charged for trading then i will consider leaving the game, its not right, if you trade and make profit so be it with software. Does Bettaq charge these silly data charges

They are very annoying when they do occur. The only way to avoid them is to go well under the threshold. This is because Betfair don't take account of timing or averaging when they calculate data charges. I don't think they are in a rush to change this either: -

Yes - i had a similar problem after BA crashed and I had to reopen it unaware that I was then running 2 lots of BA. I appealed as the guys at BA suggested, and was refunded the full amount (also about £45) as it was a first offence.
The latest version of BA now warns you if you try to run the program twice - so make sure you have the latest version. - (V1.24 - check at the bottom of the log in screen).
Also - go to settings and limit the data requests to about 15.(BF allow 20 max)
It is frustrating that there is no pre -warning system in place, something that flags up as soon as you go over the limit as i am sure that the majority of times this happens it is by mistake

Got a similar email due to my activity yesterday. Had 3 BA instances running using 6 req/s each. If I wanted to do the same again and used 5 req/s on each I would be ok?
They wanted to charge me €80.5, which is more than the money I made on those two hours

I lost counts how many times I have been charged for trading on BF ...they want you to win but, if you won much more or using the tecnology they will steal your money..with the new chief executive Sir JACK SPARROW I dont know how worse can it get....

You probably would be OK. The reason that you can incur charges when in theory 3 x 6 = 18 should not incur any is due the way Betfair calculate the costs. Their one second interval may start slightly before or slightly after yours, so you are measuring the quantity over different periods.
(There is an entry somewhere in the FAQ's on the betangel web site that explains it better than I can!, Just looked but couldnt find it!)
I too incurred a charge yesterday of £11.68, but I'm experimenting, purposely incurring charges to offset the PC charge...
