Flemington R6 SP 97.58%

Some big stakes being chucked about on the favourite, the smaller bars are about £15,000 a pop:

Huge slugs on that last race made it quite difficult to trade.

Rosehill has been excellent, Schubert in R6 was a scalpers dream

I might have to make a forum apology. I got so very very aggressive - I was on the tilt and hence had a mare.

I contributed to all the mayhem and suffered the consequences.

OUCH - fair play for posting such a large loss.

Plenty of time to get it back today though, if not there is always tomorrow and the next day and the next and the next....

Any layers taking SP on the fav at Doomben were just shafted with the horse breaking badly but BF being their usual slow self on suspending. The price shot out massively before it went inplay.

That is unlucky, as PDC just said plenty more markets ahead to get back on top

That's me done for the night, for those still trading keep those profits rolling in

I've noticed that is much more pronounced now. You often see the price rocket out and immediately you listen for the commentary to tell you it got off to a bad start.

Sorry to see that, but plenty of races left in the meeting to turn that around.

I've been stuck between really going for it and being a little more cautious given the money in the market. So I've done OK, but nothing special.

I didn't even notice the names of the horses I was scalping - I was just scalping like a deranged lunatic.

If you use the online radio you should be able to hear it as you see it. I have been caught a few times where I have been starting to get matched and have changed to Take SP thinking worse case I lose a tick or two and look back and I have lost 20+ ticks.

I have all but stopped using Take SP on the layside and ensure I fully exit before they jump on the radio as you can't trust it anymore.

I saw one a while back that was 1.5 pre race and returned an SP about 3.0 after it fell out the stalls, can only imagine the damage that did to some.

That is painful - but we've all been there, I'm sure you'll bounce back. :)

One thing I really like about Australian racing is how diverse the ownership is of the horses, it isn't just all Godolphin and Coolmore winning the big races, the scenes after some of these races is great with huge crowds of owners going nuts!
