Couldn't be happier with tonight's trading. Best Aussie morning since I started trading Australia just over a year ago. :D
Good work Derek.
Thanks, pleased to see you're recovering from that disaster. Look forward to the big one next week. :)

That's me done for the night, for those still trading keep those profits rolling in
Have Euler and Dallas ever been seen in the same room :?:

Or has Peter just nodded off at his keyboard

I tend to go quiet when I really concentrating. I'm hitting the sack now so I can get some rest before the UK starts up again.

I had a decent session in the end, but was a bit inconsistent. Something to work on ahead of Tuesday!

Similar for me, decent session but not many fireworks.

Do you know what Thursday's session is likely to be like?

Thursday is decent :)

Seems to be loads more money around for the supporting cards too, great to see

Thursday is usually the weakest card though, isn't it?

Tuesday is dominated by the MC and it's weak either side, but I'm not sure that Thursday is that great?

In all the years I've traded it, it's been the poorest day for me.

There are 1 x Group 1 and 2 x Group 3's, includes the Oaks, wondered if everyone would be punted out after Tuesday and if it was worth the effort of getting up for it.

Sounds like you will be getting up Peter but aren't expecting much from it?

I'll get something from it, but looking at my records it's never been a day of focus. So I try not to overstretch. I just learnt that it doesn't help to set unrealistic expectations. It's better to exceed them.

Good luck tomorrow to those waking up early to have a go at the Melbourne Cup carnival.

The Cup itself is building nicely. I’ve taken out the one wood already and have established a really good starting position. :)

I'm guessing Derek, Peter, Dallas and Naffman all have the alarm set. Or will be just staying up super late.

I will be there, looking forward to it but will also be looking at the many supporting cards on tomorrow as I like the weak markets as well.

Good stuff Gazuty early bird and all that :D

I'm in two minds which way to do it still, I will likely opt for an early night and an alarm set early rise that way it'll take less adjusting to get my clock back right afterwards

Witht he first race of the night being at 11:45pm at Hobart followed by Flemington at 11:50pm I am still undecided as well Dallas. I think I will do the same as the weekend and skip the first hour or so as those times are 10:45am and 10:50am Oz time so I don't think I will miss to much and will be fresher for once the racing gets going properly for the day and also the UK racing afterwards.

After a lovely long nights sleep and lie in this morning and a day off from the markets and a really good mountain bike ride this afternoon I am looking forward to the session and the Eurpean's bringing the Cup back home with us again!

I only just found out that Queensland have sorted out their issues and there is now no strike there as planned.

Also a bit of care is needed in picking which NSW markets to trade to ensure enough is left for the weekend racing.

I think it is Enzo and John Berry in the studio on ATR for Flemington - Enzo doesnt half put the shifts in, will no doubt be commentating later in the day somewhere.

Trading Australia is now routine for me, rather than something to stay up for. There's usually evening racing to trade if I get up late afternoon. :)

I'm more looking forward to Randwick than Flemington, though I'll be trading both.
