Good luck Gaz and everyone tomorrow!

I'll be waking at about 1.25am in time for the 4th race, have a break after the last and then do most of the WA racing

Looking forward to it :)

http://www.racing.com for video.

http://www.skyracing.com.au/index.php?c ... =114&id=96 for audio if you want faster information - it's usually a couple of seconds faster than when Betfair suspend markets and put them in play.

I know this should be on the rant thread but I really wanted to make a pizza before Flemington - I'm out of time now.

Not a good start to Flemington, quite sharp moves a few mins before the off.

I'm so pleased they watered the track overnight to appease the precious Europeans.

You are joking, aren't you? Did they not see the rain coming?

Deadly serious.

The BOM said 100% chance of rain today, but they were obviously spooked by the backlash from international runners on Saturday and were clearly worried the rain wouldn't eventuate.

41mm so far since 7am at Flemington.

I remember Haydock overwatering in ensure Dictat takes his place in the Sprint Cup. Other horses were withdrawn due to soft ground even though it hadn't rained for a few days. The stewards had no option but to fine the trainers of the withdrawn horses (other than admitting they overwatered).
