Im at my day job. About to check in on progress. Hope aussies have had a good day and our English friend aren’t too weary.
Excluding the MC I’m down on the day. Looks like the bot had a bit of a downer at Randwick - something bad must have happened.

I was enjoying it until the favourite collapsed.

Good race though, hope The Cliffsofmoher is alright.
He will have been put down as he broke his leg.

I got caught on the favourite price collapse and on another runner so gave back some of my green late on but still very happy with the results.

Several notes added to the calendar for trading it next year.
That's sad. I saw him pull up sharply and disappear off the screen but couldn't see exactly what happened.

I gave back all of my green and went into the red.

Wasnt' Cross counter was it?

I gave about 40% of my profits back in the last minute when I couldn't get out quick enough

Still happy with the way it traded and the evening overall although I won't be sticking around for the rest of the card so good luck to those that are

Was it R4 at Randwick? Betfair had issues and didn't turn the market inplay at all and it was still open some time after the race was run.

Yes was sad, his off fore was flapping around, would have been put down straight away and thankfully the horse is unlikely to have felt any pain.

Shame about losing your green, I gave back a good chunk in the last 5 minutes but still got a fantastic result. But as I said elsewhere on the forum, these big races/meeting aren't the bee all and end all for the vast majority of traders so wouldn't worry about it and carry on with what you do best.

Yes it was, I suspect it was made worse with people leap frogging each other trying to exit.

Note to self - exit the market about 5 minutes before the off next year.

Betfair crashed, we all had varying levels of exposure. You probably just got caught cold on that one.

It was refreshing to see the market so lively and with decent volume. Some of the big UK races have been a bit weak this year, but the MC market was pretty strong. I was pretty much out when those late moves occurred.

You tend to find on all big races in the UK and Aus, money tends to get pulled late on as people exit positions so that loosens up the market a lot.

Fractured right shoulder and had to be put down. Really sad and also will be used by the anti racing people :(

I've often described Randwick as a free money bar, so I can't believe I'm down at Randwick!

It's not trading as it usually does, very low liquidy, markets are more volatile and horses are getting backed down quite heavily - not the usual scalping market.

I'm well aware that I've just contradicted an earlier post tonight.

Its a shame ATR aren't bothering to show any more of Flemington, not even the races.

The markets set up is quite different to normal though don't forget, it is MC day which means a lot of people have the day off and are focusing on the racing, but a lot of that attention is only focused on Flemington. Also there is heaps of other racing on, a bit like a bank holiday in the UK.

I am finding the non flemington markets quite good in general tbh, some are utterly dead but others are makign for great scalping markets and they seem to be more alive as the session has gone on.

It's only a public holiday in Victoria. Most of Australia is at work.

Yes, though that is still a lot of people and quite a few others will be given time to watch the race even if at work.

Had a chance to check in again.

Horse Racing / Rand (AUS) 6th Nov : R4 2400m Hcap 06-Nov-18 02:35 06-Nov-18 03:02 -61.39
Horse Racing / Rand (AUS) 6th Nov : To Be Placed 06-Nov-18 02:35 06-Nov-18 03:04 -40.31

Was probably lucky to get out of it with not too much damage.

Having a dreadful night tonight. I often get excited about big Aussie meetings as though the money's in the bank before I've even started trading, but perhaps I'll need an ice-cold shower on Friday night.
