Is it just me, or is Joey Barton a tad insincere in his apology (http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/footbal ... 181426.stm)?

Surely, if you're truly sorry about something, you don't do it again. But this isn't the first time he's behaved like a thug!

I love his manager's comments:

"I have seen it again and I am aware that he has raised his hands"

So that's what you call punching someone in the stomach, is it?!? 'Raising your hands'!

"But I am also very conscious that because it's Joey Barton, there will be far more made of it than any other individual."

Heaven forbid previous offenses be taken into account when sentencing! What a travesty of justice!
