Received a huge amount of money late on.

The only horse there was any money for until a late plunge on the second fav, everything else in double figures.

Todays my first full day back on racing since last Saturday so looking forward to getting back into the swing of things although my expectations are quite low

Maybe the only day of the year when most of my focus will be on the Irish markets

Thanks. They're officials, known as outriders - highly skilled horsemen and do an amazing job.

I've seen one of those outriders intercept a loose horse running the wrong way around the track mid-race and get it out of harm's way.

This from today's Australian racing shows the skill of outriders and why they would be so useful in the UK, horse would have been running for days in the UK and worn itself out or worse injured itself:

Reminds me of the ten odd years I spent volunteering with Riding for the Disabled when I was younger. One of the most stupid things you can do when a horse gets loose in a field is run after it on foot - but I've known a few people to instinctively do it.

Been caught out by sharp moves in the last two in Ireland, seeing a decent green book slip away!

The poor time keeping hasn't helped matters. Lingfield seem to be on a go slow all day.
