Is the trick with these markets to put in an order several ticks above or below where you are?
My thinking is that this will mean that you profit when the market spikes in your favor, hopefully mitigating the losses you take when it spikes against you.

Hi Jeff,
if I spot a horse that has had a spike when I open the racecard, I sometimes put a position in, that number of ticks "off the pace" and move it up and down hoping for a repeat. It's tedious, needs high concentration (because I'm forever moving the position) and only seems to "hit" a couple of times a day. But the return is good,
