When there is low quality jumps horses dragging themselves around a bog I always seem to do better picking off the AW racing.

Having said that I did pick up my best result of the day in the last at Ayr

It generally is during Jan. I try and make as much as possible over Christmas then it doesn't really matter what I do for the rest of Jan.

Typically the back end of the year for me is about making as much as possible so I don't have to worry about Jan & Feb. I've tended to holiday at the start of the year as it's the low point for me on the calendar. I can also escape the UK miserable UK climate.

I'm not gonna abandon winter racing despite a dreadful February last year but I will be spending a lot more time on the tennis.
