The game was played a long time ago, but as it's related, decided to post here:
Anzhi Makhachkala v FC Saturn Moscow Region

There was another match 3 weeks ago (can't remember the game) where the home team was backed from 2.38 to 1.38 pre-match. Once again the bookies stopped taking bets
We've had problems with Tennis matches in Russia too
I'm afraid the governing bodies are simply too scared to investigate or prosecute due to the possible involvement of very dangerous individuals

I hope you're not trying to say I'm dangerous
It's not like I carry a gun, well a least not everyday
Seriously, I think you hit the spot, I would even add that these cases will happen more and more on weaker democracies, where corrupted bodies have important roles in the economy. It's not like some individuals are dangerous, they are also very important as they run huge business. I once read something like that if La Mafia was a legal, it would be the biggest company in Italy. Maybe you've seen what happenned in Napoli due to the garbage?

The reason I don't believe the theory put forward is that these unfeasibly low draw odds begin to proliferate towards the end of the season (is Serie B) when promotions/relegations have been settled, and teams have nothing to play for.
Come back again with three weeks left to go of the season and put this method forward again. The correlation just doesn't make sense.
