Don't forget guys. New rules mean 5th set goes to a ten point tie-break if it gets to 6-6

Seems a huge price on RBA a break up in the 5th... (note: often wrong)

sad times re: murray, not everyone's cup of tea, but I've always liked him and his tennis more so... absolute wall, that transformed himself from a purely defensive player few believed could make the top, to one that could hurt players as well as torment them endlessly by consistently putting the ball into difficult positions and never giving in. added a unique mix to the game that filled in any gaps left by the other 3 in the 'big 4', of which he was every bit a worthy inclusion. often drastically underestimated, including by myself.
+1 and put far better than i could have conjured...Nero Tulip wrote: ↑Mon Jan 14, 2019 12:01 pmsad times re: murray, not everyone's cup of tea, but I've always liked him and his tennis more so... absolute wall, that transformed himself from a purely defensive player few believed could make the top, to one that could hurt players as well as torment them endlessly by consistently putting the ball into difficult positions and never giving in. added a unique mix to the game that filled in any gaps left by the other 3 in the 'big 4', of which he was every bit a worthy inclusion. often drastically underestimated, including by myself.
+1 from me to, and as I put on another thread a few days ago unfortunately many of us are unlikely to see another British player like him in our lifetimesjimibt wrote: ↑Mon Jan 14, 2019 12:04 pm+1 and put far better than i could have conjured...Nero Tulip wrote: ↑Mon Jan 14, 2019 12:01 pmsad times re: murray, not everyone's cup of tea, but I've always liked him and his tennis more so... absolute wall, that transformed himself from a purely defensive player few believed could make the top, to one that could hurt players as well as torment them endlessly by consistently putting the ball into difficult positions and never giving in. added a unique mix to the game that filled in any gaps left by the other 3 in the 'big 4', of which he was every bit a worthy inclusion. often drastically underestimated, including by myself.
it's astonishing how he managed to pull thro' this game to effectively take it to a final set.
interesting also when you review the LIVE page on the BBC: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/tennis/46486846 the point being that there is a small but determined gang of andy haters that vote down just about every positive comment made on andy's behalf...
