favourite, Peters Cousin was traded in play at Newcastle 13:20 and then all bets on it were voided because the horse came out to be a non runner

never saw this before
i had it on the place market and had thought the bet had somehow been unmatched. understand now -thanks

if the start is imminent when the horse is withdrawn betfair usually won't declare it as a non-runner

I can see my p/l for that market changed by 34%

BHA has just released the fatality figures for horses in 2018, a total of 202 died out of 93k runners, due to horses running more than once the equates to a 1% fatality rate, - this is now the highest since 2014

Sounds good to me – they usually trade better.

One afternoon AW meeting and one evening AW meeting = day off for me and more time to catch up on other things.
Good luck to those giving it a go though

Tomorrow doesn't look likely to escape without cancellations. It has been a sparse fortnight trading wise but it has been a great period for my 'To do list' and taking some time off, it's only 80 days until the summer UK evening racing starts

Y, I've resided to a Fri/Sat at most for trading the racing markets this week, I tend to make the most of the lulls while I can - come July/Aug you tend to start wishing for Sept to arrive again and the days to begin to shorten

Are you feeling any better Derek? The lull would be a good time to get looked at if you're not.

I'm feeling a lot better thanks Shaun, but I think I will see a doctor this week. One good thing that's come out of my illness is that I've been going to bed early and getting up around 7. :)

I'm beginning to wonder if I may have or had an underactive thyroid gland, tiredness and sensitivity to cold being common symptoms.

Good, about feeling better obv not the thyroid :). Tired and sensitive to cold? Join the club. :|
Whatever happened to the days when a doctor would prescribe 2 months in a bath chair on the Riviera.
