Hi dudes,

Just a quick post here to find out if anyone else on the forum uses or has used these stands successfully.

I have purchased 2 of these stands:
http://www.allcam.biz/catalog/product_i ... cts_id=935"

to mount 2 of these monitors:
http://www.dabs.com/products/iiyama-pro ... -6Z6C.html

First off they sent me 3 stands instead of 2, fine if that's how they want to run their business no complaints there. That's just about the only area where there are no complaints though!

First problem is the height adjustment tube is too small for the bracket. I have tightened it to the maximum tension, where there is literally not even a millimetre of space left and it still slides down the pole with relative ease (and this is without the monitor being attached yet). I have highlighted this on the image so you can see what I'm on about (obviously this image is a pile of crap becasue it does not stand as illustrated, it slides down until it hits the base).

The second issue it that after attaching the monitor via the WESA mounts, it appears to be way to heavy and flops forward. Now I don't have cheap light monitors but they aren't particularly heavy either, and are 22". The product description mentions it can take monitors from 15"-27" so I'm well within this. Again have a look at the image so you can see which part I'm talking about.

Main point of the post is to check to see if anyone else uses these and if so did you need to make any modifications to get them to work? I'd like to have them working rather than go through the long process of sending them back and getting a refund, and then looking for alternative products.

Also noticed on Amazon that they have halved in price and that on the whole the reviews are quite positive:

Perhaps I've just got a terrible batch here or the whole world is on crack.

Anyhow any ideas on how to get these damn things to work would be much appreciated!

Hi JS
Can't answer all your points...
But re the second...
From memory there are different length screws that attach the mounts to the monitor...if you use ones that are too long (as perhpas you have done here??)...the thread could short out some component within the monitor?? So just be careful...
Good Luck!

Hi Peter, thanks for the reply, after a hilarious call to the supplier (but that's another story!) I managed to get these things working.

The first issue required a plastic washer supplied in an extras bag. This was not mentioned in the instructions but the guy on the phone told me it was probably shipped with instructions for an older model, so that explains that. With the washer in place the arm is very secure.

The second issue was simply a tightening of the bolts as Leon described to me earlier. I didn't realise the side parts flipped off. After me best muscle man impressions it was much tighter and secure.

Just in case anybody else was thinking about getting one, gotta say the price on amazon is a bit of a bargain, they are very secure and look decent aswell in the new all black finish. :D

Got there in the end!
